HEADLINES

Flows for Thought

HEADLINES launched as a fresh, left-field indoor hip-hop festival. Initiated by 013 and Friendly Fire, the festival brought a bold new presence to the Dutch music landscape, one that celebrates the alternative and thoughtful side of hip-hop. While artists from this segment were already selling out shows across the country, there was no festival yet where these acts, and their fans, could come together. HEADLINES filled that gap, creating a space where creativity, quality, and inclusivity took center stage

HEADLINES is about the essence of hip-hop, not about superficial hooks, but about stories that resonate, beats that stay with you, and performances packed with raw energy. It’s the kind of festival where you get fully pulled in, where you forget to check your phone because the experience demands your full attention. Whether it’s old-school vibes or innovative new acts, HEADLINES gives a stage to artists who break boundaries with their sound and style. It’s made for everyone with a love for hip-hop: the connoisseurs who crave sharp lyrics, the explorers searching for fresh sounds, the chillers drawn to the vibe, and the cool kids ready to capture every moment.

From the very beginning, we worked closely with the team to shape a brand that reflects this vision. The flowing lines in the identity echo the rhythm and cadence of language itself, symbolising the space HEADLINES creates for lyrical depth, expression, and storytelling. The visual system moves like the music, flexible, bold, and full of motion, designed to evolve alongside the culture and the community.
